Canada are the reigning gold medallists of the women’s Olympic football tournament after they won the event in Tokyo but the Canadians have endured a difficult few years in international football which included being knocked out of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup last year. New Zealand dominate Oceanian football, as they showed in qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, but they have struggled to get a foothold outside of their continent with very few victories against non-Oceanian sides. Whilst Canada have problems to solve and amends to make, it should still be a comfortable victory for the North Americans.
