Japan have performed admirably thus far and come into the final game with a chance of getting through thanks to their dramatic turnaround last week. They were beaten by Spain in their opening game, despite taking an early 1-0 lead, before then scoring twice in second-half stoppage-time to turn the game on its head against Brazil and set themselves up for this final clash. Nigeria, on the other hand, have been stubborn and difficult to break down but the second lowest ranked team in the tournament have suffered back-to-back defeats against Brazil and Spain. Japan are expected to win but it may be another low-scoring game.
