Equatorial Guinea vs Namibia - Preview & Predictions | 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CAF)
Nov 15, 2023 published · Nov 17, 2023 modified
KEY STATS
· Equatorial Guinea have won their last five FIFA World Cup qualifying matches at home without conceding a goal.
· Equatorial Guinea have lost only one of their last nine FIFA World Cup qualifying matches (W5 D3).
Namibia are without a win in their last four FIFA World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L3). Since a 1-0 victory away from home against Togo in September 2021.
THE PREDICTION
After reaching the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 2022, Equatorial Guinea have continued their improvement as a side and actually come into this on the back of relatively good form. Their goalless draw with a strong Burkina Faso side last month means that they have suffered just one defeat in ten matches. They now face a Namibia side that, coached by former Hamburg defender Collin Benjamin, have suffered two defeats inside 90 minutes in their last 12 matches and just three in their last 15. That stubborn run means that, whilst Equatorial Guinea, it could well be a fairly blunt, low-scoring victory for the hosts.
BETTING TIP: EQUATORIAL GUINEA TO WIN & UNDER 3.5 GOALS
