2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CAF)

KEY STATS

·        Guinea are without a win in their last nine FIFA World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L5). Since a 3-2 victory against Libya in August 2017.

·        Uganda have lost only two of their last 14 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches (W6 D6).

Uganda have not conceded more than one goal in any of their last 17 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.

THE PREDICTION

Captained by former Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, the Guinean national football team come into this one on the back of some steady form with a 1-1 draw against Gabon last month meaning they have suffered just two defeats in their last seven matches with those two defeats coming against strong Brazil and Egypt sides. Both teams have scored in five of those seven games, too, highlighting some entertainment could had as they welcome Uganda. Uganda have suffered four defeats in five, failing to score in three of those matches, but will fancy their chances of at least bloodying the nose of the Guinean defence.
