The Benin national football team are currently ranked 91st in the world. They have enjoyed a bright start to CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification and managed to defeat Nigeria by two goals to one over the summer with former Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr at the helm. However, the other day, Benin were beaten 3-0 by the Nigerians to kick start 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualification. They now face a Libyan side that were eventually pegged back by Rwanda to share a 1-1 draw in Tripoli. Benin will believe they have more than enough quality to bounce back and should come out on top in this one.
