It was an impressive 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year with Cabo Verde finishing above Egypt in their group. However, despite still having an impressive squad and especially in attack, they were comfortably defeated by Egypt by three goals to nil the other day in Cairo. They now face a Mauritania side that enjoyed a slender 1-0 defeat of Botswana in Nouakchott in their opening match. Despite that, though, Cabo Verde remain the firm favourites for this one and should come out on top in this one, especially with their pedigree and home advantage.
