Mali come into this one on the back of a steady start to their 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations campaign in which they collected four points from their opening two matches during the September international break. The Malians were held at home by Mozambique before a slender defeat of Eswatini a few days later. They now face a Guinea-Bissau side that are a naturally low-scoring side and did qualify for the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year but Mali remain the firm favourites, especially with their home advantage, albeit it is expected to be a game with fewer than three or four goals.
