It can be fairly argued that Niger are among the weakest sides in the group stages of 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. They did put up a solid performance in defeat in their opening match the other day as they suffered a 1-0 loss with Abo Eisa scoring the only goal of the game. They now face a Ghanaian side that, under the management of former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach Otto Addo, are continuing to underperform and the Black Stars were dealt a blow the other day when they suffered their own 1-0 loss as they went down at home to Angola. Ghana remain favourites but it may well be another low-scoring and unconvincing encounter.
