As one of the weakest sides in the group stages of 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualification, South Sudan began their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Congo at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat in Brazzaville the other day with Chandrel Massanga scoring a 12^th minute winner for the Congolese. South Africa have been improving in the last few years but they needed to rescue a point with a 95^th minute equaliser from Burnley striker Lyle Foster. South Sudan will seek to frustrate Bafana Bafana but the South Africans are the firm favourites for this one, regardless of that.
