Under the management of Paul Put, the Uganda national team are currently ranked 94^th in the world by FIFA. They come into this one on the back of starting their 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with four points collected from their opening two matches, backing up a 2-2 draw in South Africa by defeating Congo by two goals to nil. They now face a South Sudan side that do appear to be the weakest team in Group K and they did start their qualifying campaign with back-to-back defeats last month. Uganda do appear to be firm favourites for this one.
