Last season, for a fourth successive Premier League campaign, Arsenal improved their points tally – becoming the first team to ever do that. If the Gunners are able to do it for a fifth straight season then they will push onto 90+ points and there will be a hope and belief that is enough to topple the champions Manchester City. They face a Wolverhampton Wanderers side that, under the management of Gary O’Neil, did put in some excellent performances against strong sides last season but this is another level on the opening day at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal should win it quite comfortably.
