They play an extreme possession-based style of football that has seen them caught out directly for three of the five goals that they have conceded with the other two being from their other Achilles heel, set-pieces. The Saints may well dictate the ball against a Manchester United side that look like the Manchester United side of last season and that is a generally poor and disorganised one with few cohesive attacking patterns of play. The Red Devils have done well at winning these sorts of games by hook or by crook, though, so should still be backed as best bet at St Mary’s.
