The home team come into this one on the back of only playing one game in these opening stages of the Nigerian Premier Football League season. Kwara United were beaten 2-1 at home by the Niger Tornadoes on the opening weekend a couple of weeks ago. They now face a newly-promoted Ikorodu City side that have also played once and also started with a defeat as they were hammered 3-0 by the Kano Pillars. Both sides started with a loss but given that one side were hammered and are new to this level, it would appear that Kwara United are favourites for this one, especially with their home advantage.
