Georgia entered into their first ever major tournament with hope rather than expectation and they have given it a seriously good go, without sounding too patronising, but do appear destined for group stage elimination. They created several chances against Turkey to equalise before a late sucker punch gave an unfair 3-1 scoreline and then were more fortunate to share a 1-1 draw with Czechia, albeit they missed a glorious late opportunity to steal all three points in that game. Portugal have cruised through as group winners. They survived a scare and needed to come from behind with a stoppage-time winner against Czechia in their opener but then hammered Turkey by three goals to nil. Georgia need to win and have been enterprising so them scoring wouldn’t be a surprise but Portugal should still complete the group with three wins from three.
